The first Starry Night was held in 2005, making this year’s event the 13th Anniversary of Starry Night. Over the years, Starry Night has become the premier social event in Corrales.
This year’s event will be held on August 25, 2018, at 5:30 PM at historic Casa Vieja Event Center, located in the heart of the Village at 4541 Corrales Rd. Starry Night's Margaritaville Corrales Style will continue providing great food, wine, beer and excellent auction items. In addition to the new venue there will be other entertaining changes that will make your Starry Night truly memorable and enjoyable. View our Spotlight page to learn more.
The 2018 Starry Night Committee includes: Heidi Ames, Jim Kruger, Patty Kruger, Lynn Martinez, Linda Parker, Sandy Rasmussen, Dee Turner and Jean Waszak. If you'd like to volunteer for next year's event or contact one of this year's committee members, please visit the contact page.
Proceeds received from Starry Night provide support for the activities and the programs of Corrales MainStreet, Inc. (CMS), a 501(c)(3) organization. CMS is an accredited MainStreet organization through the New Mexico MainStreet program, a division of the New Mexico Department of Economic Development. We are also accredited by the National MainStreet program, which is a part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Our membership is made up of both businesses and individuals and we invite you to join!
CMS provides programs, activities, and services to grow the economic base in the Village of Corrales. In working to implement its Mission and Vision, CMS provides a wide variety of services to the Village of Corrales under a Professional Services Agreement. CMS has recently completed or assisted in the development of the Village’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, coordinating LEDA certification for the Village, gathering community input about internet service in the Village, developing and promoting “Shop Local” campaigns and Holiday Shopping programs. In addition, design and survey work to create a “Pathway” along Corrales Road has been completed and fund raising efforts for the “Pathway” are underway. In June 2018, CMS received designation as a New Mexico Arts and Cultural District by the State of NM Arts Commission. This designation will allow Corrales to further its plans to become an arts and cultural destination and provide new resources for the accomplishment of this purpose.
CMS is not “all work and no play.” CMS also sponsors fun events in the Village, designed for residents and visitors alike, making this a great community for all! Those events include: the “Fourth of July Parade,” the “Starlight Parade and St. Nick Night,” the “Wine Fair,” which is a part of the “Corrales Harvest Festival,” and the “Garden Tour.” CMS also publishes the quarterly Corrales in Focus.
